Over the last 25 years, I have worked in several major law firms, both at the Brussels, Antwerp, Ghent and West-Flanders Bar. I gained relevant expertise in a wide range of legal matters, in corporate and commercial law (corporate compliance, M&A, commercial agreements, corporate governance, B2C and B2B, shareholder rights, executive management compensation and benefits, etc.). I have become the trusted business advisor and partner for several national and international clients. Legal 500 Directory recognised me as “very customer-oriented combined with top legal expertise”.
During the last 7 years, I have developed a particular expertise in the not-for-profit sector. I advised both Belgian and international clients in setting up, managing and restructuring their not-for profit associations and/or foundations.
As from 1 July 2021, I decided it is time for an additional chapter in my professional career. Going forward, I will use my experience and expertise in the wide range of legal topics in a governance related context.
Using a pragmatic and result-oriented approach (e.g. through board workshops or presence during board or shareholders’ meetings), I can help you face, and above all, overcome your legal challenges and concerns. I will personally also focus on taking up board mandates as an independent board member.
